What’s new with vinyl flooring?

If you’re thinking of giving your flooring a fresh new look why not consider vinyl flooring?

While it’s fair to say that several years ago many people steered clear of vinyl floors because of its perceived poor quality and old fashioned designs, times have changed…… Nowadays companies like Tarkett are producing cushion floor vinyl in up to date modern patterns and colours, with realistic wood and stone/tile effects, across a huge range of varying qualities suitable for any room in the house.

The other main option for vinyl flooring is for solid vinyl – so not as soft under foot, but tougher – that gives literally endless designs and patterns. So these can be stuck down using borders and feature strips to give you an absolutely unique floor to your home. This type of vinyl flooring is also available in a click together style and some ranges even have a built-in acoustic layer.

A new company we’ve added to our portfolio of suppliers is Design Flooring (known in the UK as Karndean) who are the leading manufacturer in this type of solid vinyl flooring – also often called LVT, luxury vinyl tiles.

So if you want :

  • Unlimited design and pattern options
  • Waterproof flooring easy to clean and maintain
  • A quieter environment compared to hard floors
  • Materials sourced in France (no tariffs or import duty!)

Give me a shout if you wish to know more about our vinlyl flooring ranges.

Yours, Jon.
