Super soft carpet in France – and friendly to our sea life too

Recently we have been adding to our extensive range of carpet suppliers with some exciting new brands, dealing directly with producers to ease availability issues.

Associated Weavers is one of our new carpet manufacturers – and over the coming weeks we will share with you a few more.

Established back in 1964, Associated Weavers was originally a British carpet brand. Today it is based in Flanders, Belgium and is one of the leading European manufacturers of tufted wall-to-wall carpet.

One of its most popular carpets from its five different collections is Sedna®.

Increasingly, we are all aware of the urgent need to reduce our use of plastics, with the seas and oceans affected by major pollution – creating significant problems for sea life and our planet.

The need to protect our environment inspired the development of Sedna®, with the objective of making a carpet that was soft, luxurious and durable – but also better for the environment.

The carpet is made with a regenerated nylon. This is a yarn made from recycled waste material such as old carpets and abandoned fishing nets, collected from the bottom of the sea.

Sedna® carpet has an ECO FusionBac textile back made from 100% recycled PET plastic bottles.

Sedna® is a carpet which is incredibly comfortable – and a sustainable material, too.
