From Harrogate comes LVT

As 2023 starts to draw to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to our customers who entrusted us with supplying and fitting their floor coverings this year. It has been an honour to have worked in your homes.

In September I had the opportunity to sneak off to The Harrogate Flooring Show which ran from the 17th – 19th September. It is the UK’s largest flooring event offering a selection of the biggest UK and International brands under one roof. Over 250 exhibitors were present offering carpets, laminates, wood, vinyl, cork, grass, underlays, adhesives, tools and LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles). It was an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with existing suppliers and find new and interesting ones.

LVT are all the rage right now and give the look of a real wooden, stone or ceramic floor with many added benefits! Here is a list of them:

– Durability (great for heavy foot traffic and resistant to scratches, dents and stains)

– Water Resistant (suitable for bathrooms, basements and moisture prone areas)

– Easy Maintenance (easy to clean by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping)

– Comfortable and Warm (feels warmer underfoot than tile or stone)

– Versatile Design (vast range of designs available or you can make your own)

– Affordable (being of synthetic material it offers a high end look without the high end price)

– Sound Absorption (offer good sound insulation)

Typically, we apply them directly onto a smooth screed but where there is an existing floor covering such as wooden floorboards or tiles, we first prepare the surface with the Jumpax Underlay system. Jumpax is a dual layer self-adhesive underlay system, particularly suited for refurbishment projects where the existing floor finish is not taken up.
