Charming Les Charmes.. and a beautiful Le Jardin. Carpet fitting in the Dordogne

We travel the length and breadth of France visiting clients and fitting carpets. So, from time-to-time it is great when we have two clients situated within 10 kms of each other!

Many of our clients run chambre d’hôtes and gîtes, so the springtime is often busy laying carpet before the summer season opens.

Le Jardin B&B is a delightful chambre d’hôte located in the pretty town of Sarlat in the Dordogne. The property is 200 years old and within easy walking distance of the medieval town. We know Le Jardin very well it’s fair to say – as over the past 10 years or so we have fitted carpet in all the bedrooms and in other parts of the house.

Our most recent visit this spring was to fit Abingdon’s popular Stainfree Tweed carpet. As the name suggests, it is stain resistant – and available in 20 different contemporary colours. It’s therefore a good choice, particularly as it is long lasting.

Just down the road from Le Jardin is Les Charmes de Carlucet, a 5* Manor House and Villa holiday home. Located a short distance from Sarlat, both the Manor and Villa at Les Charmes have private heated pools offering superb accommodation.

At Les Charmes, we laid Sisal Natural carpet on the double staircase. Sisal is a natural fibre that is produced from the long leaves of the Agave Sisalana cactus plant. Sisal floor coverings are remarkably versatile and extremely durable – perfect for staircases which get a lot of wear and tear.
