Wool has been used for thousands of years to provide warmth and protection against the elements, so it is no surprise that wool carpets are a popular choice for many people. Wool acts as a natural insulator in the home because it retains any heat generated, reduces energy costs and minimises heat loss. It looks great too and with choice from either 100% wool or alternatively an 80/20% wool/man-made mix there are plenty of options.
