Pet friendly carpet – for dealing with muddy paw prints & more!
March 9, 2020During the course of the year, I travel thousands of kilometres visiting client’s homes. It’s a great way to discover what a tremendously varied country France is with its different regions, all of which have their own identity, food, drink and climate.
The Charente-Maritime is a department that I know very well. It’s one of the sunniest parts of France after the Cotes d’Azur, with a micro-climate of its own. Driving through the countryside and seeing all of the tall, bright and cheery sunflowers are sure to lift the spirits of anyone! There are some interesting towns too; Cognac with its historic and medieval old town; Royan and its beaches; the beautiful Île de Ré; the pretty port town of La Rochelle to the north; Rochefort and the many other attractive and smaller villages.
Meeting clients in their homes is of course the main part of the job and something I enjoy immensely. I get the opportunity to see many fantastic properties and meet lots of great interesting people.
The choice of carpets can vary slightly too. I find that many of our clients in the Charente-Maritime have a preference for the naturals, for example the Pure Wool Berbers.
